Look twice -- this dragonfly is one of the most realistic faux-insects we have seen. And it's purely functional, as well as beautiful. This "popper" lure even has the semi-translucent green thorax of the large Anax species, but careful with the treble hook suspended underneath. Even if you're no fisherman, you would be excused for wanting this beautiful lure on aesthetic grounds alone.
We found this object right here at a sporting goods site...
This is a really striking piece -- an inlaid gold-tone mosaic dragonfly in a solid, smokey black stone. Heavy enough to hold your papers where you want them, but the delicate insect design really offsets the blunt shape of the stone. We found this here on Amazon but there must be others -- more when we can find them!
At the moment, this lovely opaque shower curtain with green dragonflies is pretty high on our list of WANT IT. Summery, light, and just about the best thing to see first thing in the morning when you'd really rather be back in bed. We found this item at this website, a less-than-inspiring place that nonetheless has some really knock-out stuff.
What a great piece -- this brass dragonfly lamp finial is one-of-a-kind. We found it at this design site, an anything-goes lamp site that has some truly cool items, finials and otherwise. This one is for true dragonfly lovers (and the ones who buy them gifts!).
This dragonfly mug features well-executed darner dragonflies in full color. It's hard to find true-to-life insects on items like these, and this is one of the better ones we've seen. This and other products available here.
This is a striking design that is also a very accurate representation of the green darner dragonfly, Anax junius. It's rare to fine truly accurate, scientific illustrations on apparel, or other items like pillows and tableware. There's a link on the site (which is right here) to the artist's Cafe Press store.
